Kansas City Is Bleeding
Poverty isn't random. It's engineered.
Decades of redlining, disinvestment, and structural racism created zip codes where dreams go to die. Where a child born 10 miles east of the Plaza will live 15 fewer years than one born west.
96%
of Kansas City's chronically homeless are unsheltered—
the highest rate in the entire nation.
This isn't a statistic. This is someone's mother. Someone's son. Someone's neighbor. This is our community.
We Don't Just Give Hope. We Teach Transformation.
The From Struggle to Success Academy is Kansas City's first comprehensive, 8-domain life transformation program—built by someone who escaped poverty and systematized the escape.

The Nashes Lived It
Dr. Troy Nash grew up in Section 8 housing in Kansas City. Labeled "at-risk." Told he wasn't college material. Surrounded by drugs and violence.
Today he holds 9 advanced degrees —including a JD, EdD, and MPH from Brown University. But here's what matters: He went back for his family first.
At 25, he turned his mother's living room into a classroom. He helped his three older brothers enroll in college. He helped his mother—at age 55—earn her GED and start college. She was a junior when she passed away. UMKC awarded her a posthumous degree.
"I didn't escape poverty to leave others behind. I escaped to build a ladder."
— Dr. Troy Nash, Founder
Now his daughter Arielle Nash carries that torch. A Washington University graduate, trilingual in English, Spanish, and Mandarin, she worked on Capitol Hill with the House Financial Services Subcommittee on Housing. At just 14, she co-founded The Nash Group with her father.
Today, Arielle serves as President of both The Nash Group and the Community Foundation—ensuring that the methodology that transformed one family is available to transform thousands.
"My father showed me that transformation is possible. My job is to show others the same thing—and to build systems that make transformation sustainable."
— Arielle Nash, President

Don't Just Feel Something. Do Something.
The gap between wanting to help and actually helping is one click.
"Overcoming poverty is not a task of charity, it is an act of justice. It is the protection of a fundamental human right, the right to dignity and a decent life."
— Nelson Mandela, Nobel Peace Prize Laureate
